| Birlasoft to computerize DDA |

NOIDA, April 11: Birlasoft, the IT arm of the $ 1.2 billion C K Birla Group, has won the contract for complete online computerization of the Delhi Development Authority.
The project called Integrated Management System (IMS) will take a year to complete. It will automate all functions and operations of DDA and will lead to improved interface with citizens, increased transparency, efficient processing of papers and access of information to its customers on website.
The DDA will benefit by way of effective management information systems, effective decision-making, seamless flow of information among various departments of DDA, re-engineering of various processes, improved information reliability and connectivity among all DDA offices through state-of-art networking infrastructure.
The IMS will impact the working of all DDA departments viz planning, architecture, land management, land-scape, horticulture, engineering, housing, finance, land disposal, personnel, legal, PR & public grievances, and vigilance.
On the occasion of the project’s launch, Birlasoft’s CEO, Mr Kamal Mansharamani, said, “E-governance is rapidly striking roots and ushering in transparency. Birlasoft is involved in executing several E-governance projects in and outside Delhi. Our focus is not just on technology but on the pain areas and the strategies that are needed to use information technology to resolve the pain aspects.” |
