KPIT Honored for Successful Digital Transformation with ‘Jewels of Digital Maestro Award’
Pune, 27th January, 2016: KPIT Technologies (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in IT consulting and product engineering, today announced that it has been honored with the Jewels of Digital Maestro Award for successfully carrying out digital transformation across the organization. KPIT was recognized with this award for its digitization process which involved re-architecting its enterprise technology platform, integration and implementation of useful Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud (SMAC) tools.
KPIT competed with 350 participating companies and bagged this title along with six other organizations from different sectors. As a global technology company, KPIT realizes the importance to increase collaboration between employees based in different geographies to make employees processes easier and to extend this to the visitor experience on campus. The company embarked on an initiative to create the most modern, friendly and productive digital footprint throughout the organization and named the program 'Smart Enterprise.'
As part of Smart Enterprise, KPIT introduced various technologies for smart campus, smart collaborations, smart applications, insights and more powered by smart infrastructure. KPIT also developed mobile applications to make processes simple and fast but also context aware and used digital signage and screens placed around the campus to enhance the entire visitor experience. Now, apps even allow employees to check the food menu in the cafeteria and plan their break timings to avoid waiting time at the cafeteria, or to check for the closest available parking space. KPIT’s visitor management system displays pertinent information through the campus to guide and inform visitors. KPIT also implemented location aware technologies which are integrated with KPIT digital platform and various apps, Intelligent parking, intelligent asset movement, KPITube as a video gallery for employees, KPIT Social platform powered by software defined infrastructure to name a few.
