Pune, India | January 29, 2018 : KPIT (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a Cloud Select and Platinum level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) and recognized solution provider for Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) and Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ), announced that it has signed a Business Process Services (BPS) agreement with Oracle to meet the evolving product data classification and attribution demands of global clients. Through this agreement, KPIT will add Oracle EDQ application as one of the tools in KPIT's Product Data-as-a Service (P-DaaS) offering to provide customers with the capability to classify, attribute, and enrich their existing parts, items, or product information based on industry standard taxonomy.
Customers struggling with managing their legacy product data because of scattered, insufficient or inconsistent information will get a huge benefit from KPIT's P-DaaS as it provides the ability to correctly cleanse and categorize products, enrich them with standard attributes and easily identify duplicates. This good quality product information can then be loaded on to the Oracle Product Hub Cloud for better ongoing governance and maintenance. It helps the end user to obtain access to best-in-class product data for their Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud, Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud, and Oracle Business Intelligence applications in a more cost-effective manner.
KPIT's P-DaaS allows the customer to pay-per-use for their product data cleansing requirement. Therefore, eliminating the need to obtain license and install any software. This offering can be used as part of one-time data cleansing activity during data conversion for Oracle MDM Product Hub, Oracle ERP Cloud transformations, migrations, and/or upgrades.
Accurate Product Data is critical for organizations as it provides them with a wealth of business processes, such as new product introduction, timely response to end customers, Request for Quotes (RFQs), government and risk compliance, sale of products across multiple sales channels, product data distribution to trading partners, data analytics, store and territory planning, and much more. All these areas can benefit from strong product data quality and product MDM capabilities. Platforms like cloud, big data, social, and mobile that harness the information in product analytics and market intelligence, need the accuracy and intelligence that only come from great product data quality.
Rohit Agarwal, Former Global Practice Head for Oracle Cloud, KPIT said, "We are excited to combine forces of the feature-rich Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) suite with KPIT's deep taxonomy library and vast Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) implementation experience to deliver superior capabilities to our Oracle Product Hub Cloud customers in varied markets, sizes, and industries."
