KPIT Honored with the ‘Best CSR Practice Award’ by the World CSR Congress
Pune, 07 December, 2015: KPIT Technologies (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in IT consulting and product engineering, today announced that it has been honored with the ‘Best CSR Practice Award’by the World CSR Congress in an award ceremony held in Mumbai recently. KPIT was recognized for its exemplary CSR work in the fields of education, energy and the environment. KPIT supports these CSR projects financially as well as engages employees to carry out these activities.
The ‘Best CSR Practice Award’ is conferred to companies for their outstanding activities in the field of social work. The awards saw participation from around 280 companies, out of which only 30 companies made it to the final.
KPIT’s CSR projects include rain water harvesting for drought prone areas using farm ponds, reforestation activities, bridging the gap between text book knowledge and real life application of scientific principles with their signature Chhote Scientists program, amongst others.
The company also conducts regular awareness drives to educate the locals about recycling, to encourage the use of eco-friendly products and to highlight the importance of energy conservation.
