The client is a Swiss multinational company that manufactures building materials. It has a presence in around 80 countries and operates in four businesses segments: Cement, Aggregates and Ready-Mix Concrete as well as solutions and products.
The client was creating a dedicated team to handle global projects in Cloud and Data Center domain. Birlasoft devised an effective, strategic, and tactical project execution Governance model to work along with global build team. This model would enable demand and supply for the engagement as well as centralized global operations.
The build process and infrastructure environment had always been managed by the client’s regional teams Gradually, it led to redundancy and asynchronized efforts, ultimately increasing the overall costs. Owing to decentralization, there were frequent compliance and vulnerability issues. Careful centralization was critical to reduce the costs and streamline the operations and resource utilization.
